WASHINGTON (April 2, 2019) - Howard women's tennis will travel to Princess Anne, Maryland to face Maryland Eastern Shore on Tuesday. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
LAST TIMEOUT
The Bison (3-11, 1-1 MEAC) are coming off of a 6-1 loss to MEAC opponent Norfolk State University. The Bison were successful in the No. 3 doubles with a 6-4 win by
Dominique Jackson and
Aria Ragas.
Kendall Addison and
Yassmine Khiri saw a close bout in the No. 2 doubles, where they forced a tiebreaker against Norfolk State. Addison and Khiri came up short, 7-6.
At the No. 4 singles,
Christina Joynes lost a tiebreaker, 6-4.
Howard gained a sixth court point with Jackson winning her singles match, 6-0, 6-3.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS
With a 0-6 (0-3 MEAC) record, the Hawks have been shutout the entire season without a win. Recently, they suffered a scoreless loss against Longwood University. In the preseason MEAC rankings, the Hawks were predicted to finish last in the conference.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
The Bison will compete against Morgan State on Saturday, April 6. Start time is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Baltimore, Maryland.
