ANNAPOLIS, MD (February 15, 2019) --- Howard women's tennis travels to the Naval Academy to compete against Navy at 10 a.m.
LAST TIME OUT: Howard women's tennis (1-3) dopped a 7-0 match to its host, Fairleigh Dickinson last Saturday. Seniors
Nicole Hutchison and
Christina Joynes took the number one doubles match. However, FDU would take the doubles point.
The Bison lost all six of the singles matches. Five of the six were lost in straight sets.
The Bison had a 4-3 dual victory against Mount St. Mary's. Hutchison and Joynes are 2-2 in doubles competition.
Aria Ragas and
Kindha Nasef also won a doubles match this season. In singles, four Bison have won matches.
SCOUTING THE MIDSHIPMEN: Last weekend, the Midshipmen won its doubleheader against Mount St. Mary's and Fairleigh Dickinson. Navy had a 7-0 victory against Mount St. Mary's, taking all of the singles competition and sweeping all three doubles matches.
Navy also won all three doubles matches and the first five singles matches against Fairleigh Dickinson.
In their last meeting, Navy swept Howard.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On Sunday, February 17, the Bison will continue on the road at Virginia Commonwealth University at 1 p.m.
