The 2019 Sun Belt Conference Men's Soccer Championship gets underway today at the Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex in Boone, N.C. All five tournament matches are set for live coverage on ESPN+ and the ESPN app. Live statistics are available on SunBeltSports.org.

The No. 3 seed, Howard (5-11-1, 2-3) earned its highest seed for the Sun Belt Championship in its fourth season in the league. The Bison will face No. 5 seed, Appalachian State (10-6-1, 2-3) . The Mountaineers blanked HU during conference play, defeating Howard 4-0.

After the defeat, Howard went on to win three straight games and put the Bison in the hunt for a conference championship before dropping the final two conference games.

During the win streak, Howard outscored their opponents 6-1, shutting out George Washington and Georgia Southern.
