WASHINGTON (April 8, 2018) – After grabbing their first win of the season, the Howard University Men's Tennis team could not keep the momentum going as they dropped its Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) match against the Morgan State (MSU) Bears, 4-0, at the Banneker Recreation Center.
MSU took the early advantage after winning two-out-of-three in doubles competition, 1-0.
In singles play, sophomore
Cole Gittens served as the club's No. 2 player where he dropped an intense contest versus Morgan State's Lucas Kursinki (2-6, 5-7).
Morgan State won the next two points in the No. 4 and No. 6 positions, respectively.
Tuesday (April 10), Howard men travel to Newark, Del. where they will take on the Delaware Blue Hens in a nonconference match. First-serve is set for 3 p.m.
