Larry Strickland and the Howard University Women's Tennis team host George Mason on Senior Day.
First-serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Banneker Recreation Center.
MATCHUP PREVIEW
HU (7-8) comes in with back-to-back victories over Delaware State, 4-3, and Maryland Eastern Shore, 7-0. In April, Howard is 3-1 with their lone loss against Morgan State, 4-3. Currently, four Bison have winning records in singles competition, led by juniors
Nicole Hutchison and
Kindha Nasef each with an 8-5 mark.
Before taking on the Bison, George Mason (6-13) faces Saint Joseph's in league play. Currently, the Patriots have dropped four straight matches while being winless on the road (0-4). Sydney Green serves as the squad's No. 1 singles player with a 14-12 overall mark.
LAST TIMEOUT
Monday (April 16), HU outlasted Delaware State, 4-3, at the Banneker Recreation Center. Freshmen
Nathalie Finch,
Yassmine Khiri, and
Aria Ragas led the way with singles victories.
The next day (April 17), the Bison cruised to victory as they downed Maryland Eastern Shore, 7-0, at the Banneker Recreation Center. Nasef picked up her fifth straight singles victory.
SENIOR DAY
Saturday is Senior Day and before the first serve, Howard will recognize lone senior
Sajela Harlow for her hard work and dedication on and off the court.
