RICHMOND, Va. (April 20, 2018) – In their regular season finale, the Howard University Men's Tennis team were shutout by Richmond, 7-0, at the Westhampton Courts.
 
In doubles competition, the Spiders swept all three matches. Freshman Roger Lyn and sophomore Cole Gittens served as the squad's No. 2 team where they pushed Richmond's Brice Polender and Klein Evans to the limit, 7-5.
 
In singles play, the Spiders won all six contests. Lyn and Gittens represented HU as its No. 1 and No. 2 singles players, respectively, while junior Karim Shokeir entered in the No. 3 spot.
 
Next stop for Howard is the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Championships in Norfolk, Va. Date, opponent and time is to be determined.
