NEWARK, Del. (April 10, 2018) – Howard University Men's Tennis team suffered a setback in Newark, Del. when they fell to the University of Delaware (UD), 4-0, at the Delaware Field House Outdoor Courts.
After taking two-out-of-three in doubles competition, UD kept the momentum going into singles play.
Sophomore
Cole Gittens served as HU's No. 2 singles player where he fell in straight sets against Delaware's Colin Wong (6-0, 6-0).
Newcomers
DeVaughn Blackburn and
Benjamin Tyus represented Howard in the No. 5 and No. 6 positions, respectively, where both lost in two sets.
On April 20, Howard concludes the regular season at Richmond. The action starts 3 p.m.
