WASHINGTON (March 31, 2018) – Sophomore Cole Gittens and freshman Roger Lyn won their respective doubles match, but the Howard University Men's Tennis team fell to Norfolk State (NSU), 4-0, at the Banneker Recreation Center.
 
Gittens and Lyn won their second doubles match of the season, defeating NSU's Ignacio Guevel and Vini Da Silva, 6-3.
 
Despite their success, Norfolk State would win the other two doubles matches and take a 1-0 advantage into singles competition.
 
In singles play, the Spartans only needed to take three matches to down HU, 4-0.
 
Wednesday (April 4), both squads travel to Baltimore to face Coppin State in conference play. First-serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
 
The next day (April 5), HU men return to the District where the St. Francis-Brooklyn Terriers await. The action starts 2 p.m.
