Phillip Gyau and the Howard University Men's Soccer team heads to Boone, N.C. to take on Appalachian State (ASU) in a Sun Belt Conference (SBC) showdown. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

On Oct. 24, the Bison hung tough against St. Bonaventure, but a pair of scores within 90 seconds would down Howard, 2-0.
Defensively, junior
Carlos Caro (Silver Spring, Md.) collected five saves in a losing effort.
MATCHUP PREVIEW
ALL-TIME SERIES
Saturday's showdown will be the sixth meeting between Howard and Appalachian State with the Mountaineers leading the all-time series, 2-1-2.
Last season, both squads ended in a draw, 0-0, at Greene Stadium.
HOWARD
HU (2-8-3) looks to ride momentum into the SBC Tournament (Nov. 7-11). Coach Gyau's squad has been in nearly every match this season. On the year, Howard is 2-5 in one-goal contests. Junior

APPALACHIAN STATE
Appalachian State (7-5-3) enters Saturday on a two-match skid with setbacks against Presbyterian and Georgia Southern. Like HU, App State aims to get back on track and gain momentum going into the SBC Tournament. The club has yet to lose three matches in a row this season.
