WASHINGTON (September 17, 2017) – After a tough home loss against South Florida (USF), the Howard Women's Soccer team begins a three-match road trip in nearby Annapolis where Navy awaits. Match-time is set for 7 p.m. at Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.

Howard took nine shots, led by

Aleeya Sawyer shot twice in a losing effort.

Gabrielle Emilien kept HU in the contest with a match-high 10 saves.
MATCHUP PREVIEW
Monday will be the 11th all-time meeting between the two nearby institutions, dating back to 1998, with the Mids winning all 10 matchups.
After starting 0-2, the Mids (7-3) have won seven-out-of-eight while riding a three-match winning streak. All three losses have come against Power Five foes: Tennessee; Maryland; and Stanford. Before the season, Navy was projected to finish third in the Patriot League behind Boston University and Bucknell.
For HU (1-5), they look to build momentum before Friday's showdown with Arkansas-Pine Bluff. This season, Howard has competed in four matches decided by one goal (1-3). Defensively, the Bison are led by conference preseason Defensive Player of the Year
