Ron Davis and the Howard University Women's Bowling team struggled after day one of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Northern Division meet, going winless (0-4).
Despite a tough day, sophomore
T'ea Lewis averaged a 188 after four matches, including a 219 against Morgan State, and sits eighth overall.
HU opened the tourney versus Coppin State (CSU) where they fell, 882-857. Then, the Bison lost to Maryland Eastern Shore, 948-879.
Next, Howard dropped its match against Morgan State (MSU), 917-850, followed by a 941-840 loss versus Delaware State (DSU).
Senior
Sydney Reece placed 14
th with a 161 average in four matches bowled. Newcomer
Carolyn Williams finished in the top-half after rolling a 193.67 in three matches.
The MEAC Northern Division Meet No. 1 concludes Sunday with Baker matches. HU meets Maryland Eastern Shore first, followed by DSU, CSU, and MSU in that order.
