MATCHUP PREVIEW
This will be the fourth meeting between HU and GSU with the Bison leading the all-time series, 2-1. A year ago, Howard defeated the Eagles, 2-0, at Greene Stadium.
Georgia Southern (7-7, 1-2 SBC) has some momentum after putting together its best offensive performance of the season in Tuesday's 2-1 win over Stetson. GSU had season-high totals in shots (22) and outshot the Hatters by an impressive 22-5 margin.
Currently, HU (1-12-2, 0-1-1 SBC) sits at the bottom of the conference standings with only three regular season matches remaining; however, all three contests are Sun Belt matches. Six different Bison have scored this season, led by junior midfielder
Victor Guirma with four points.
LAST TIMEOUT
Tuesday, the Bison's comeback fell short against the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights, 2-1, at Greene Stadium.
Despite outshooting the Knights, 19-13, HU was unable to breakthrough until the 74-minute mark when
Joel Cunningham delivered the squad's lone goal, assisted by
Leeroy Mbuta.
