Brent Leiba and the Howard University Women's Soccer team saw its winning streak end after a 2-1 decision in favor of Yale (YU).
Senior goalkeeper
Gabrielle Emilien racked up a match-high 19 saves in the loss.
At the 12-minute mark, Yale's Keri Cavallo scored and put the Bulldogs ahead, 1-0.
After intermission, YU's Aerial Chavarin increased the lead, 2-0, thanks to an assist from Carlin Hudson.
Late into the match, HU fought back and sliced the deficit after senior
Noelle McCullom scored on a penalty kick, 2-1.
Yale outshot the Bison, 30-13, while snapping HU's three-match winning streak.
HU finishes the regular season with a pair of home contests.
Friday, the Bison host Texas Southern in a battle of top-tier SWAC squads. Match time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
Sunday, Howard concludes the regular season with Prairie View A&M on Senior Day. The action begins 1 p.m.
