The Howard women's tennis team faced both NC A&T and NC Central in a doubleheader this past weekend.  After defeating the Aggies in a 6-1 crusade, the Bison fell short of victory in a 4-1 loss to the Lady Eagles on Sunday morning.  

GREENSBORO, NC --- After picking up a walkover at No.3 doubles and No.6 singles, senior, Umarah Mughnee and freshmen, Nicole Hutchinson capitalized the momentum at No.2 doubles (6-1) making the overall score 2-0 going into the singles line-up.  Mughnee quickly acquired a win at No.5 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep, while senior, Stacey Roheman launched the Bison into victory with a 6-3, 6-1 win. Hutchinson established her first win of the season with a 3-6, 6-4, 1-0(6) nail-bitter to conclude the match.

DURHAM, NC ---  The Eagles edged over the Bison early in the match by winning the doubles point to set tone.  Junior, Jessica Josiah displayed her grit in a 6-2, 6-4 victory acquiring the only win for the day while Christina Joynes (No.5 singles) and Margie Funches (No.6 singles) did not finish their singles flights.
