The Howard men's tennis team faced both NC A&T and NC Central in back-to-back battles this past weekend.  Losing by only one point to the Aggies (4-3) and to the Eagles (4-3), the Bison are expecting a positive breakthrough in the near future.

GREENSBORO, NC --- After the Aggie Bulldogs gained the doubles point with wins at No.2 and No.3 doubles, junior, William Jones III (No.2 singles), continued his successful season with a 6-1, 6-1 victory.  Junior, Ismael Kaouache, followed suit with a straight set win (6-3, 6-2) at No.1 singles and senior, Nico Sorrell, pulled out the final point of the afternoon at No.6 singles (7-5, 6-2).

DURHAM, NC --- The hopeful momentum followed the Bison to NC Central the following afternoon but was defeated by the Eagles in a close rat-race.  Notable performances of the match include, junior, Laguna Foster Jr. who ousted senior, Thomas Persico, 6-4, 6-1.  With a walkover at No.6 singles, freshman Spencer Kelly (No.5 singles) gained a singles point with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep.
