WASHINGTON, DC --- The Howard Men's & Women's Tennis teams began their Spring seasons on Friday afternoon with a pair of home matches against Saint Francis University at the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation Southeast DC Campus.
The Bison women (1-0) edged the Red Flash 4-2 while the men (0-1) were shut out by SFU 7-0.

The Bison men struggled in their first action of the Spring, falling in straight sets in five of six Singles matches. Freshman
Spencer Kelly put forth a strong effort in his collegiate debut at No. 6 Singles, taking the first set from SFU's Robin vader Heijden and going to a tiebreaker in the second.
NEXT UPThe Bison men will travel to VCU for the Rams' 4-1 Invitational this weekend (January 16-17).
