CAYCE, SC --- The Howard women's tennis team saw its season come to an end yesterday as the Lady Bison fell to North Carolina Central, 4-2. in the quarterfinals of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) tournament on Thursday at the Cayce Fitness & Tennis Center.

The Northern Division champions and divisional 1-seed Lady Bison (7-7) drew the South 4-seed Eagles (9-14) in an exact rematch of Howard's 4-2 victory over NCCU in the 2014 MEAC Tournament quarterfinals.

Unfortunately for Howard, history could not repeat as the Lady suffered the biggest upset of the opening round.

HU was led in defeat by the underclassmen duo of sophomore Jessica Josiah and freshman Sajela Harlow, who produced straight set wins at No. 4 and No. 6 Singles, respectively.

The Lady Bison fell behind early after falling in the top two Doubles flights and eventually conceded the match after dropping their top three Singles matches.
