Hamilton, Todd named to All-Tournament Team

Box Score WASHINGTON, DC --- Freshman midfielder Austin Williams scored Howard's first goal of the season but George Washington responded with four unanswered goals to push past the Bison Booters, 4-1, in the final day of the #Kuykenstrong DC College Cup Sunday at American University.

Seniors Eric Hamilton and Frederick Todd III were named to the Cup's All-Tournament team.

Williams put home the first goal of the season for Howard (0-2) in the 27th minute after sophomore Emmanuel Iledare put a ball into the box for Williams to finish off from 10 yards out . The Bison would hold their 1-0 lead over GW (1-1) past halftime and into the second half.

Unfortunately, the Colonials would strike back in the 64th minute as GW's Jonny Forrest scored on a header from 10 yards out to tie the game at 1-1.

Two other goals in the next 10 minutes and a third in the 88th put the game out of reach for the Bison.

Hamilton made 11 saves in his two games while playing all 180 minutes, while Todd played well on the defensive end for Howard.

Howard will travel north to Baltimore to face Loyola University Maryland on Tuesday, September 2. First kick is scheduled for 7 p.m.
