BALTIMORE, MD --- The wins keep coming for the Howard women's tennis team.

The Lady Bison earned their ninth straight victory with a 7-0 triumph over Coppin State University in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference action.

The fifth shutout of the season for Howard (10-1, 4-0 MEAC) was as dominant as any of the previous four. The team won every singles match against Coppin (1-11, 1-2 MEAC) in straight sets and won three flights without allowing a point (Nos. 2, 6 singles; No. 1 doubles).

Seniors Katelyn Stokes & Brooke Hawthorne continued their impressive campaigns as they took that No.1 doubles match together and won their singles matches 6-0, 6-1 (No. 1) & 6-1, 6-1 (No. 3) respectively.

Stokes is now 10-1 in singles competition while Hawthorne is 6-1; as a duo, they are undefeated (5-0).

The two singles shutouts came courtesy of sophomores Stacey Roheman and Audra Bell.

HU will take on Mount St. Mary's College in non-conference action on Thursday, April 10 at 3:00 pm .
