RESULTSBALTIMORE, MD --- The Howard men's tennis team dropped their fourth straight match on Tuesday afternoon, falling to Coppin State University, 5-2, in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference action.
Howard (2-14, 1-3 MEAC) earned its two points in the top half of the singles flights as freshman
Ismael Kaouache and sophomore
Myron Davis defeated CSU in their No. 2 and No. 3 matches, respectively.
Kaouache fended off CSU's Daniel Nino in straight sets but did so by having to win extra games in both sets in his 7-5, 7-6 victory. Davis was able to win in more conventional fashion by defeating Tre'vonne Peyton, 6-4, 6-0.
Coppin (3-8, 2-1 MEAC) earned the doubles point by winning two of the three matches, with Howard's freshman pair of
William Jones and
Laguna Foster winning the No. 2 flight over Roderick Peyton and Reginald Robinson, 8-4.
