Men's Tennis Falls To Morgan In Season Finale

RESULTS

WASHINGTON, DC --- The Howard men's tennis team ended its regular season by losing its fifth straight contest, a 4-1 home setback against Morgan State University on Sunday afternoon at the Banneker Tennis Courts.

Howard (2-15, 1-3 MEAC) ends the season in the North Division's No. 4 spot heading into this week's MEAC Tennis Championships, to be held at the Cayce Tennis & Fitness Center in Cayce, SC. Morgan finished with a 4-0 conference record  and a 4-11 overall mark.

Freshman Ismael Kaouache was the only Bison to earn victories in both singles and doubles action. Kaouache earned Howard's only point by defeating Morgan's Evan Ward, 6-3, 6-4, in the No. 2 singles flight. He also paired with sophomore Myron Davis to win the No. 1 doubles flight over Ward and Duk Young-Park, 8-5.

Morgan was able to take the match by winning the Nos. 2 & 3 doubles flights and the Nos. 1, 3, and 6 singles games. Due to darkness, the No. 4 and 5 games went unfinished.
