RICHMOND, VA --- The young Howard men's tennis team battled against the nationally ranked team from the University of North Carolina Jan. 20 but but eventually lost a 7-0 decision to the #43 Tar Heels on Monday.

Freshman Ismael Kaouache had the best showing of the group, winning four of the BIson's eight games in a straight set defeat to UNC's Oystein Steiro in #2 singles (6-1, 6-3)

Sophomore Myron Davis picked up a game in the second set of his #3 singles match (6-0, 6-1) against Nelson Vick, and fellow sophomore Nico Sorrell put two Howard wins on the board before being defeated by James Coxe in #6 singles (8-2).

In doubles action, sophomores Nile Kendall & Sorrell won one game in the #3 doubles match, but lost to James Coxe and Stuart DePaolo, 6-1.
