WASHINGTON, DC --- A pair of Howard women's lacrosse players are in the running to earn Atlantic Sun (A-Sun) Preseason awards, and they need YOUR VOTE to make it happen!

Senior attack Cynithia Smalls and junior midfielder Jaymie Cox are representing the Lady Bison in the A-Sun's Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year Facebook votes, respectively.

Smalls, a Second Team A-Sun performer and Preseason All-Conference selection in 2013, led Howard and the conference in several categories last year, including goals (50), points (55; led HU), goals per game (3.57), points per game (3.93), shots per game (6.71), draw controls (58; led HU) and draw controls per game (4.14). Smalls' GPG average placed her in the top five nationally (4th).

Cox was also named to the Preseason All-Conference team in 2013 and earned First Team A-Sun honors. She was also named Preseason Player of the Year by the fans last year. Cox was second on the team in goals (29), points (31) & draw controls (51) and third in ground balls (22).
