HOWARD GAME NOTES

WASHINGTON, DC --- Howard University will be looking to extend its winning streak when it travels to Norfolk, VA to take on the high-powered Monarchs of Old Dominion University on Saturday, September 14.

The Bison (1-1) are coming off a 27-16 victory over Morehouse College in the Third Annual AT&T Nation's Football Classic last Saturday.  Howard junior quarterback Greg McGhee led the way, completing 21 of 27 passes for 242 yards and three TDs to earn game MVP honors.

In the Monarchs (0-2), the Bison take on a team that features one of the top quarterbacks in college football in Taylor Heincke.  The 2012 Payton Award recipient passed for 700 yards in one game last season and leads one of the most prolific passing attacks in the country. ODU, which is transitioning from the FCS to FBS and will be an official member of Conference USA in 2014, dropped the season opener at East Carolina, 52-34 and to the University of Maryland, 47-10 on the road last Saturday.
Kickoff time is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
