LADY BISON SNAG EIGHT WINS AT KUTZTOWN

KUTZTOWN, PA. (www.howard-bison.com) – January 28 – During three days of bowling action at Kutztown University, the Howard University women's bowling team secured eight wins, finished in 21st place and went undefeated during day one of play.

HU went head-to-head with Adelphi, Cheney, Coppin State, Kutztown, Long Island, Medaille, New Jersey City, Penn State (Altoona), Sacred Heart, Salem International, Saint Francis (N.Y.), Saint Francis (Pa.), Saint Peter's, Southern.

During day one of action, the mighty blue and white went undefeated, HU swept Medaille (789-614), Penn State-Altoona (692-502), Cheyney (763-547), Salem International (657-537), Saint Peter's (720-650), and Saint Francis- N.Y. (692-691) during bakers competition.

Howard was less successful on day two during standard team play, only defeating New Jersey City 910-887.  HU's Nakia Porter notched a team-high 242 pinfall during the six-match action.

On the final day of play, the Lady Bison concluded the three-day event going 1-of-2 in another round of bakers play, conquering Cheyney once again, 1199-1069.

HU returns to the lanes for the Capital Classic in Dover, Del., on Saturday, Feb. 8.
