BOSTON (April 7, 2026) – CollegeInsider.com uncovered its Women's Mid-Major Top 25 Final Poll for the 2025-26 campaign where Howard University appeared for the 11
th time this season. The announcement came Tuesday evening.
HU ended the year 22
nd after going 26-8 overall.
This season, the Bison won 26 games, which is the most by any Howard team, men or women, in program history. Additionally, Howard earned a No. 14 seed in the NCAA Tournament, which is also the highest in school history.
Murray State (30-4), which received 22 first-place votes, finished the season at No. 1. South Dakota State (27-7) and Princeton (25-4) each received four first-place votes and Green Bay (25-9) picked up one first-place vote.
Marshall (28-9), which won the WNIT, was the only new team to the Women's Mid-Major Top 25® Final Poll, landing at No. 23.
The CollegeInsider.com Women's Mid-Major Top 25 wrapped up its 16
th season of existence.
Howard looks to build on this year's success for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign.
