NORFOLK, Va. (March 10, 2026) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) unveiled its women's basketball postseason honors where Howard University saw five Bison receive recognition. The announcement came during the league's annual awards ceremony in Norfolk, Va.

Ty Grace highlighted the night, each winning major awards.
Thomas became the 10
th Bison in program history to win MEAC Player of the Year after topping the league in scoring (15.2 ppg), rebounding (7.9 rpg) and field goal shooting percentage (.451). Nationally, she ranked among the country leaders in free throw attempts (12
th) and free throws made (22
nd).
Henigan became the third consecutive Bison (seventh overall) to claim MEAC Rookie of the Year after starting 14 contests during league play. In that span, she posted 9.4 points per game (ppg) while shooting an impressive 46-percent (12-of-26) from downtown. Additionally, the Chicago native made the All-Rookie Team.
Grace won her second MEAC Coach of the Year award after leading the league's top scoring attack at 67.2 ppg. This season, the Bison posted a 23-10 mark (13-1 MEAC) with all victories coming against NCAA Division I opponents, including big nonconference wins over Monmouth, William & Mary, St. Bonaventure and tournament-bound Fairfield, who punched its ticket to the Big Dance Monday (March 9).

Nile Miller (Woodbury, N.J.) were selected to the MEAC All-Defensive Team. The New Jersey product also secured a spot on the All-MEAC Second Team.
Jasha Clinton (Norfolk State) won MEAC Defensive Player of the Year while Khila Morris (Coppin State) earned Newcomer of the Year. Brianna Barnes (Maryland Eastern Shore) took home the league's Sixth Player of the Year.
All awards were voted on by the conference's head coaches and sports information directors.
Howard will face No. 8 South Carolina State in the MEAC Quarterfinals Wednesday (March 11) at noon.
