WASHINGTON (February 5, 2026) - Howard University Track & Field program heads to The Ott Center in Philadelphia for the Penn Classic (Feb. 6-7) and the Wisconsin Windy City Invitational, hosted at the Gately Stadium in Chicago.

MEN
Sophomore
Drew Dillard (Silver Spring, Md.), reigning MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Field Athlete of the Week, leads the league in two categories: 60-meter hurdles (7.87) and the high jump (2.08 meters).
On the track, freshman
Ashton Thomas (Greensboro, N.C.) is ranked No. 1 in the conference with a 1:51 mark in the 800-meter run.
Overall, 19 Bison are ranked among the top 10 in several events.
WOMEN
On the track, junior sprinter
Yahnari Lyons (Hampton, Ga.) ranks 24
th in the country with a
23.43 mark in the 200-meter dash.
Graduate
Marcia Sey (London, United Kingdom) has an 8.20 time in the 60-meter hurdles, sitting 25
th in the country.
In the field, senior
Kelis Armstrong (Plano, Texas) is ranked 45
th nationally in the triple jump (12.74 meters).
LAST TIMEOUT
Last weekend, HU competed in the Bob Pollock Invitational, hosted by Clemson University.
For the men, rookie
Armond Boulware (Chicago) competed in the 200-meter dash, securing a 21.68 mark.
On the women's side, Lyons and Armstrong set new program records in the 200-meter dash (23.43) and triple jump (12.74 meters) respectively.
