NORFOLK, Va. (February 4, 2026) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) revealed its women's track & field weekly awards where Howard University junior sprinter
Yahnari Lyons (Hampton, Ga.) secured the league's Track Athlete of the Week. The announcement came Wednesday afternoon.
At the Bob Pollock Invitational (Jan. 30-31), Lyons finished fourth overall in the 200 meters with a MEAC-best time of 23.43, a mark that ranks 24
th nationally.
Maryland Eastern Shore graduate student Faithlyn Irving earned MEAC Field Athlete of the Week.
On Feb. 6-7, HU gears up for another pair of meets: Penn Classic, hosted by the Quakers, and Wisconsin Windy City Invitational, hosted by the Badgers.
