NORFOLK, Va. (May 6, 2026) – The MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) revealed its women's track & field weekly awards where Howard University swept both honors. The announcement came Wednesday morning.

Aniya Woodruff (Harrisburg, N.C.) won MEAC Track Athlete of the Week while fellow classmate thrower
Temi Banwo (Allen, Texas) claimed the league's Field Athlete of the Week.
At the Aggie Classic (May 1-2), Woodruff won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 57.94, which ranks second in the MEAC and 43
rd nationally.
For Banwo, the Texas native placed third in the discus with a toss of 46.09 meters, the second-best mark in the MEAC this season. She also took part in the hammer, placing fourth overall after throwing 49.74 meters, which is second in the conference.
On May 14-16, HU heads to Norfolk, Va., for the MEAC Outdoor Championships, hosted by Norfolk State.
