BOSTON (January 6, 2026) – CollegeInsider.com revealed its Women's Mid-Major Top 25 where Howard University earned a spot for the ninth consecutive week. The announcement came Tuesday evening.
HU secured the 21
st slot after going 1-1 in competition. After dropping a tough road bout at Army (Dec. 29), 64-56, the Bison rebounded with a 68-64 road victory in Orangeburg Saturday (Jan. 3) against South Carolina State.
Monday (Jan. 5), the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) uncovered its women's basketball weekly awards where senior forward
Nile Miller (Woodbury, N.J.) was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week.
Princeton (13-1) received 30 first place votes while South Dakota State (11-4) grabbed one first place.
Harvard (8-6) and Belmont (8-7) both return to the rankings after being ranked earlier this season. Belmont checks in at No 23 and Harvard is No. 24.
The Women's Mid-Major Top 25® is released every Tuesday throughout the season.
