CLEVELAND (December 20, 2024) – Phil Steele, nationally known as one of the best football analysts in the entire country, revealed his 2024 FCS All-American and All-Conference squads where Howard University saw 12 Bison acknowledged for their outstanding 2024 campaigns. The announcement came Friday.
Senior defensive back
Kenny Gallop Jr. (Portsmouth, Va.) headlined the Bison, earning a spot on the All-American Fourth Team.
Gallop was selected to his third All-America Team this postseason: HBCU College Football All-America Team and FCS AP All-American Team. In his final season, the All-MEAC First Team selection produced 77 total tackles (52 solos), seven tackles for loss, four pass breakups, three sacks, three QB hurries, a forced fumble and fumble recovery.
Additionally, the Virginia native was one of four Bison to make the All-Conference First Team: Gallop;
Darius Fox (Washington),
Terrance Hollon (Cleveland) and
Noah Miles (Tampa, Fla.).
Four Bison earned a spot on the All-Conference Second Team:
Jarett Hunter (Mineral, Va.);
Anthony Reagan Jr. (Camden, N.J.),
Jamel Stewart (Richmond, Va.) and
Isiah Williams (Rockville, Md).
Ishaun Abdul-Ali (Charlotte, N.C.),
Eden James (Indianapolis)
Robert Jones III (Fairwood, Md.) and
Richie Ilarraza (Clearwater, Fla.).
Howard finished the 2024 campaign 4-8 (1-4 MEAC).
