On Sept.6, Howard (1-1) is coming off a 55-7 loss at Temple. Morehouse (0-1) dropped its season opener, 45-9, to Johnson C. Smith in the Essence HBCU Classic (Aug. 30) at Harvard Stadium.

The Bison won last year's game (Sept. 14, 2024), 35-21, and have now reeled off seven straight to lead the series, 28-10-2, since 1923.

Matt Conord (Lithia, Fla.) was named the MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Specialist of the Week for his efforts in the win over FAMU…Conord came into the game having converted on only 4-of-11 field goals with the longest, 32 yards, last year as a freshman at Chowan…The game winner was not only the longest of his career, but his first game winner…On Sept. 8, Wesley was selected MEAC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts at Temple.
MOREHOUSE
In the loss to Johnson C. Smith, Morehouse was penalized 16 times for 108 yards and the Maroon Tigers allowed 512 total offensive yards.

The Bison finally play within the confines of Washington, D.C., when they take on rival Hampton University in the annual P&G Truth &Service Classic, presented by EventsDC Saturday (Sept. 20) at Audi Field. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m.
