NORFOLK, Va. (May 1, 2025) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) unveiled its bracket seedings for the 2025 Softball Tournament Wednesday (April 30) afternoon where Howard University earned the top spot.
HU secured the top seed after winning its first outright MEAC regular season title with a 20-1 league mark (26-18 overall). Howard manufactured a .392 batting average in conference play while winning 18 straight MEAC contests.
Howard opens tournament play Wednesday (May 7) at 8 p.m., facing the winner between No. 4 Morgan State and No. 5 North Carolina Central.
Norfolk State (NSU) locked up the No. 2 seed and wrapped up the other opening round bye. NSU meets the winner between No. 3 Delaware State and No. 6 South Carolina State Wednesday at 5 p.m.
The 2025 MEAC Softball Championship will take place May 7-10 at the NSU Softball Field on the campus of Norfolk State University.
