WASHINGTON (April 24, 2026) – The Howard University softball team returns home for a three-game MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) series against Norfolk State (NSU) at Nationals Youth Academy in D.C. The series begins Saturday (April 25) with a doubleheader at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., followed by the finale Sunday (April 26) at noon for Senior Day.

MATCHUP PREVIEW
HOWARD
HU (24-15, 17-1 MEAC) enters the weekend after falling, 4-1, in a nonconference matchup at George Mason (April 22).
This season, Howard continues to rank among the nation's leaders in stolen bases and stolen bases per game while also producing one of the top offenses in the conference.

Julia Holt (Tucson, Ariz.) remains among the nation's top relievers with four saves while sophomore
Aiko Conaway (Haymarket, Va.) has played a key role in the starting rotation.
NORFOLK STATE
Norfolk State (20-18, 10-8 MEAC) enters the matchup after splitting a Saturday doubleheader against Morgan State in Norfolk, Va. The Spartans earned a 6-1 victory in game one before falling, 11-2 (five innings), in the nightcap.
Queen Edmonds led NSU, offensively, recording an RBI and scoring a run on the day. Bristyl Riddick added two hits and scored twice in the game one victory while Maddy Morris homered and earned the complete-game win in the opener.

On April 22, Howard dropped a 4-1 nonconference matchup at George Mason in Fairfax, Va.

Maryn Jordan (San Diego) led the Bison, offensively, going 2-for-3 with a double. Junior
Angel Riggins (San Diego) added a double and scored Howard's lone run while freshman
Aniyah Whipper (Elk Grove, Calif.) delivered an RBI single in the fifth inning.

Before Sunday's showdown with the Spartans, Bison head coach
