NORFOLK, Va. (April 20, 2026) – The MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) uncovered its softball weekly accolades where Howard University senior outfielder
Maryn Jordan (San Diego) racked up the league's Player of the Week award. The announcement came Monday morning.
In the season sweep versus Coppin State (April 18-19), Jordan hit .750 with six runs scored, four RBIs and three walks while leading the Bison to their second straight MEAC Regular Season Title.
This season, Jordan ranks the nation leaders in batting average (19
th) and on-base percentage (14
th).
Sophomore pitcher
Aiko Conaway (Haymarket, Va.) and freshman infielder
Janis Sutton (Marysville, Calif.) received honorable mention for their efforts against Coppin State.
Maryland Eastern Shore's Skylar Skinner earned MEAC Rookie of the Week while Norfolk State's Maddy Morris was recognized as the conference's Pitcher of the Week.
Wednesday (April 22), Howard travels to nearby Fairfax, Va., to face George Mason in a nonconference showdown. First-pitch at 5 p.m., live on ESPN+.
