WASHINGTON (April 11, 2025) – Howard University men's golf team will compete in the Princeton Invitational (April 12-13). The tournament will be held at the Springdale Country Club in Princeton, N.J. This two-day event consists of two rounds (36 holes), hosted by Princeton University.
The opening round will be 18 holes Saturday (April 12) at noon. The closing round will be 18 holes Sunday (April 13), starting at 8:30 am.

HISTORY
Last year, the Princeton Invite was also held at the Springdale Country Club (April 6-7). Howard placed second in the tournament, shooting 3-over par (855), and ended that weekend with two Bison tied in first for the individual crown.
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
The Club at Irish Creek is a private course in Princeton, N.J. In 1815, the golf course was originally designed by Gerard Lambert and later revised by William Flynn (1926). The Golf Club dates back to 1895, establishing it as one of the first private clubs in Jersey. It features 6,380 yards, par-71 with a 70.6 rating and 130 slope. This historic course provides a play experience that is fun but challenging.
This year's tournament participants include Howard, Princeton, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, Yale, Georgetown, Rider, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Saint Joseph's and Temple.
LAST TIMEOUT
On April 7-8, the team finished in 12
th place, shooting 33-over parr (593) at the Irish Creek Collegiate. The two-day event took place at the Club at Irish Creek (par-70, 7,002 yards) in Kannapolis, N.C.
Second-year Bison
Bear Huff (Riverside, Calif.) led the Bison, shooting 9-over par (149) while tying for 45
th in the player leaderboard.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Howard will travel to Williamsburg, Va., for the NEC Championship (April 25-27).
