NORFOLK, Va. (March 4, 2025) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) uncovered its softball weekly award where Howard University junior
Julia Holt (Tucson, Ariz.) took home the league's Pitcher of the Week. The announcement came Tuesday.
At the Outrigger Invite (Feb. 26 – March 1), Holt threw 10.2 innings with nine strikeouts in 43 batters faced. The Arizona native, along with senior
Lealani Ricks (Madera, Calif.), was named to the 2025 Outrigger Invite All-Tournament Team after posting a 1.37 ERA with a pair of victories.
This season, Holt leads the MEAC with 31 Ks.

Merci Hart (Los Angeles) received honorable mention after tallying six hits, two doubles and an RBI.
Norfolk State sophomore Qween Edmonds was named MEAC Player of the Week while fellow Spartan Amaya McPherson received Rookie of the Week.
Tuesday (March 11), HU goes to Fairfax, Va., to meet DMV rival George Mason. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m.
