NAPA, Calif. (March 25, 2025) – Howard University men's golf team competed in the Bridgestone Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Central Michigan, taking 12
th overall in the event. The two-day (March 24-25), 54-hole tourney took place at the Silverado Country Club & Resort (par-72, 6,859 yards) in Napa, Calif.
Collectively, the Bison shot 47-over par (911).
Fifth-year golfer
Marcus Smith Jr. (Rockford, Ill.) led the way, firing 10-over par (226) and tying for 45
th place.
Sophomore
Mathis Perroni (Metz, France) posted a 228 (+12), tying for 54
th on the player leaderboard.
Newcomer
Cassius Blake (Birmingham, England) registered 15-over par (231), tying for 59
th overall.
Tohoku Fukushi won the 2025 Bridgestone Collegiate Invite, shooting 23-under par (841) in 54 holes of action, six strokes better than second-place Santa Clara (847, -17).
Koichiro Furuse led Tohoku Fukushi, taking on the individual medal with a 10-under par (206) performance.
On March 27-29, Howard wraps up its west coast trip at The Goodwin, hosted by Stanford.
