NORFOLK, Va. (February 6, 2025) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) uncovered its women's track & field weekly honors where Howard University swept the awards. The announcement came Thursday afternoon.
Juniors
Kelis Armstrong (Plano, Texas) and
Aniya Woodruff (Harrisburg, N.C.) won MEAC Field Athlete of the Week and Track Athlete of the Week, respectively, for their performances at the Bob Pollock Invite (Jan. 31-Feb. 1), hosted by Clemson University.
Armstrong placed fifth in the long jump after leaping 5.88 meters, which ranks third in the league. The Texas native also took third in the triple jump where she catapulted a MEAC-best 12.53 meters.
Woodruff finished 11
th place in the 400-meter dash with a MEAC-best time (54.83).
On Feb. 8, Howard returns to the City of Brotherly Love (Philadelphia) for the third time this indoor season, competing at the Penn Classic, hosted by the Quakers.
