WASHINGTON (February 15, 2025) – Howard University men's golf team travels to Goodyear, Ariz., for the Loyola Intercollegiate, hosted by Loyola (Md.) University. The three-day, 54-hole tournament will occur at the Palm Valley Golf Club (7,015 yards, par-72) on the North-South course.
The opening round begins Sunday (Feb. 16) with a shotgun start at 9:45 a.m. (ET) / 7:45 a.m. (MT). Golfers will play 18 holes a day and the tournament wraps up Tuesday (Feb. 18).

HISTORY
Last year, the Loyola Intercollegiate tournament took place at the Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Ariz. North Dakota State won the tournament with Howard finishing in fifth place.
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
The Palm Valley Golf Club is a public course in Goodyear, Ariz. Originally designed by Arthur Hills for its opening in 1993, the venue was later remodeled by the Phil Mickelson Golf Group in 2018. The course features a par-72, 7,015-yard layout with a 73.0 rating and 130 slope. The facility spans over 300 acres and located just over 15 miles west of downtown Phoenix.
This year's tournament participants include Howard, Loyola (Md.), Boise State, Bucknell, Fairfield, George Washington, Gonzaga, Grand Canyon (individuals only), Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Missouri State, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado, Omaha, Richmond, Siena, SIU Edwardsville, South Dakota, Toledo and UT Martin.
LAST TIMEOUT
On Oct. 24-25, the team finished fourth at the Bridgestone HBCU Invitational, located at the Laurel Springs Golf Club in Suwanee, Ga.
Sophomore
Mitchell Grey (Mississauga, Canada) led the Bison, finishing tied at eighth overall with fellow Bison
Mathis Perroni (Metz, France) shooting 7-over par (220) in 54 holes.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
The men's team will play in the Carpetbagger Classic in Urbana, Md. (March 22-23), hosted by the Binghamton Bearcats.
