Saniyah King (Washington) added 11 points as the Bison pulled away to a 66-56 win over Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) in a MEAC at the Hytche Center.
DELAWARE STATE
On Feb. 8, Delaware State (4-17, 0-7 MEAC) is coming off an 84-55 home win over Virginia-Lynchburg that snapped a 13-game losing streak. The Hornets were led by the balanced scoring attack of Ericka Huggins (20 points), Brooke Barnes (18 points), Kiarra Mcelrath (15 points) and Najah Lane (10 points).
LAST TIME THE TWO MET
On Jan. 4, Howell scored a game-high 22 points to lead four Bison in double figures as the Bison held off a pesky Delaware State team, 74-66, at Burr Gymnasium.
SERIES RECORD
Earlier this season (Jan. 4), Howard defeated DSU, 74-66, in the MEAC opener and have won 17-in-a-row to lead the series, 24-11, since 2005.
