NORFOLK, Va. (December 17, 2025) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) revealed its women's track & field weekly honors where Howard University claimed a pair of awards. The announcement came Wednesday morning.

Temi Banwo (Allen, Texas) won MEAC Field Athlete of the Week for the second straight time while teammate freshman
Gabrielle White (Silver Spring, Md.) took home the league's Track Athlete of the Week.
Banwo won the weight throw at the Seahawk Shootout (Dec. 12), recording a MEAC-best toss of 15.36 meters.
For White, she claimed gold in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.48, which ranks second in the MEAC and 26
th nationally.
On Jan. 9-10, HU returns to action for the Rod McCravy Invitational, hosted by the University of Kentucky.
