BOSTON (December 16, 2025) – CollegeInsider.com uncovered its Women's Mid-Major Top 25 where the Howard University women's basketball team earned a spot for the sixth straight week. The announcement came Tuesday evening.
This week, HU (8-5) landed 20
th in the poll after earning a 1-1 mark. After dropping a tough bout on the road at Virginia (Dec. 10), the Bison rebounded with close victory, 64-60, over long-time rival Hampton Saturday (Dec. 13).
Monday (Dec. 15), the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) unveiled its women's basketball weekly awards where senior forward
Zennia Thomas (Cleveland) earned the league's Defensive Player of the Week.
Princeton (10-1) remains No. 1 for a third straight week, receiving 28 first-place votes, while South Dakota State (9-2) stays at No. 2, receiving three first-place votes.
Army (8-2) and Albany (9-2) make their 2025-26 debut in the latest Women's Mid-Major Top 25®.
The Women's Mid-Major Top 25® is released every Tuesday throughout the season.
