Women’s Hoops Makes CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 for the Third Straight Week

Bison sit in the top 15

BOSTON (November 27, 2025) – CollegeInsider.com (CI) revealed its Women's Mid-Major Top 25 where the Howard University women's basketball team made the list for the third consecutive week. The announcement came Tuesday evening (Nov. 26).
 
Currently, HU sits 14th in the poll after a 2-1 mark.
 
After dropping a tough road bout at VCU (Nov. 17), 69-66, the Bison rebounded with double-digit victories over Monmouth (Nov. 20), 57-44, and William & Mary (Nov. 23), 64-53.
 
For the second straight week, senior forward Zennia Thomas (Cleveland) was selected MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Player of the Week after averaging a double-double (21.3 points & 10.3 rebounds) during the three-game span.
 
South Dakota State (5-0) remains No. 1, receiving 31 first place votes. Green Bay (5-1) moves up one spot to No. 2 followed by Princeton (6-1), Ball State (5-0) and James Madison (4-2) to round out the top five.
 
The Women's Mid-Major Top 25® is released every Tuesday throughout the season.
 
The CollegeInsider.com Women's Mid-Major Top 25 is now in its 16th season of existence.
 
Howard travels to Syracuse, N.Y., to take on the Orange of Syracuse Sunday (Nov. 30) at 2 p.m., and will be televised on ACCNX.
