EARLYSVILLE, Va. (September 10, 2026) – The Howard University cross country program will attend the annual Virginia Invitational at Panorama Farms in Earlysville, Va. (333 Panorama Rd, Earlysville, VA 22936).
The men's 6K race starts at 8:45 a.m., followed by the women's 5K race at 9:30 a.m. The event is FREE to the public.

MEET PREVIEW
The men and women run 6K and 5K races, respectively, with awards being presented to the top seven finishers of each gender.
This year's men's teams include Howard, Virginia, Johns Hopkins, Norfolk State, North Carolina and William & Mary.
For the women, Howard, Virginia, Johns Hopkins, North Carolina, Wake Forest and William & Mary round out six-team field.
LAST TIMEOUT
On Sept. 4, both teams competed in the annual Mount 5k Duals, hosted by Mount St. Mary's University, where both squads won after each finishing third a year ago.
On the women's side, four Bison finished top 10. Juniors
Mira Martin (Columbus, Ohio) and
Ester Kirk (Morristown, N.J.) took silver (19:05.53) and bronze (19:13.28), respectively, while fellow classmate
Chloe Poindexter (State College, Pa.) claimed fifth overall (19:26.47). Second-year Bison
Alexis Jones (New Windsor, N.Y.) grabbed seventh place with a 19:33.65 mark.
In the men's race, second-year Bison
Noah Douglas (Boston) led the way, winning the race in 15:58.86 with rookie
Shareef Elfadil (Woodbridge, Va.) behind him, taking third overall, clocking in at 16:08.16.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On Oct. 2, the Bison will compete at the 52
nd Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa. The race starts with the women, beginning at 11 a.m., and the men's race at noon.
