MATCHUP PREVIEW

HOWARD (1-7-1, 0-2-0 NEC)

The Bison are looking to rebound from a 4-2 road loss at New Haven Sunday (Sept. 28).

Despite the result, Howard showed flashes of promise. Rookie Justin Mims (Norwalk, Conn.) connected with second-year standout Daniil Kaban (Kharkiv, Ukraine) in the 16th minute to put the Bison ahead; 2-1, at halftime; however, a pair of quick goals from New Haven early in the second half flipped the match.

Howard will look to tighten up defensively and capitalize on their ability to strike in transition. Liam Keiller (Gaithersburg, Md.) continues to provide stability in goal.

Thursday marks an important opportunity for Howard to snap a two-match losing streak and build early conference momentum.

LE MOYNE (2-6-0, 0-1-0 NEC)

Le Moyne arrives in D.C., after a narrow 2-1 home loss to Saint Francis (SFU) in its NEC opener. The Dolphins led early, thanks to Francesco Pagano's second goal of the season, but conceded twice in the second half and could not find a late equalizer.

Despite the setback, Le Moyne created several dangerous chances and outshot SFU in the second half. Pagano leads the team in goals while Wyatt Dupell has made at least five saves in each of the last three matches.

The Dolphins will be hungry to bounce back and notch their first NEC win this season.

LAST TIMEOUT

Howard struck early and held a halftime lead at New Haven, but three second-half goals by the Chargers spoiled the Bison's conference opener.

Le Moyne also dropped its NEC opener, falling, 2-1, to Saint Francis after holding a second-half lead.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE

After Thursday's matchup with Le Moyne, the Bison hit the road again Sunday (Oct. 5) to face Mercyhurst in Erie, Pa. Kickoff is set for noon with the match available to stream live on NEC Front Row.
