BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (September 30, 2024) – The Northeast Conference (NEC) unveiled its men's soccer weekly accolades where Howard University had a pair of Bison recognized. The announcement came Monday afternoon.
Graduate forward
Mason Christian (Fulton, Md.) and freshman midfielder
Zach Simmons (Rockwall, Texas) claimed NEC Co-Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively. The Maryland product shared Player of the Week honors with Saint Francis' Joschi Schelb.
Christian accumulated five points (two goals & one assist) in the home matchups versus Geroge Washington (Sept. 24) and Central Connecticut State (Sept. 29). After leading HU to a stalemate against the Revolutionaries, he tallied three points (one goal & one assist) in Howard's 4-1 victory over the Blue Devils. Additionally, his efforts garnered him TopDrawer Team of the Week honorable mention.
For Simmons, the Texas native earned an assist versus George Washington. Sunday (Sept. 29), he registered his first collegiate goal in the win over Central Connecticut State.

Jackson Lewis (Alexandria, Va.) were named to the NEC Prime Performers list.
On Oct. 2, Howard begins its four-match road swing in Pittsburgh against No. 1 Pitt. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
