WASHINGTON — Howard men's soccer capped off its home slate with a 1–1 draw against Stonehill Sunday morning at Greene Stadium. The Bison move to 5–10–2 overall and 3–4–1 in Northeast Conference play, while the Skyhawks sit at 5–9–3 (3–2–3 NEC). The match also marked Senior Day, as the program recognized

The Skyhawks struck first in the 29th minute, connecting from the top of the box to take a 1–0 lead. Howard responded with offensive pressure through
Nigel McCloud (Fayetteville, Ga.), who narrowly missed the target in the 18th minute, and
Ian Campbell (Des Moines, Iowa), who fired high late in the first half. Goalkeeper
Liam Keiller (Gaithersburg, Md.) kept the deficit at one with several key saves, stopping four first-half attempts to send the Bison into the break trailing 1–0.
In the second half, the Bison found their rhythm and began to dictate possession, earning three corner kicks in the opening 15 minutes. The breakthrough came in the 72nd minute when sophomore
Daniil Kaban (Kharkiv, Ukraine) found the back of the net off an assist from Campbell to even the score at 1–1. Howard continued to press for a golden goal, with McCloud forcing a diving stop in the 77th minute and
Naim Robinson (Detroit, Mich.) firing just over the bar in the 80th. Keiller came up big again in the closing minutes, jumping for a clutch save to preserve the stalemate.
Kaban led the Bison attack with a goal and three shots (one on target), while Campbell notched his first assist of the season. McCloud and
Zach Simmons (Rockwall, Texas) each recorded a shot on goal, and Keiller finished with four saves in a full 90 minutes of action.
As a team, Howard totaled nine shots (three on goal) and earned seven corner kicks to Stonehill's three. The Bison were whistled for seven fouls compared to 14 for the Skyhawks.
Howard concludes the regular season Sunday, November 9, at 3 p.m., when the Bison travel to face FDU in Teaneck, N.J.
