PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. (May 7, 2024) – Howard University women's golf team remains in second place after Day Two of the PGA Works Collegiate Championships (PWCC), held at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
 
After two rounds, HU shot 628 (+52), including 323 (+35) on Day Two.
 
Third-year Bison 
Kendall Jackson (Pearland, Texas) remains in the hunt for an individual title after firing 3-over par (75) in round two. Overall, the Texas native is 3-over par (147).
 
Sophomore 
Morgan Horrell (Dallas) sits tied for sixth, recording 11-over par (155) in 36 holes of action.
 
Fellow classmate 
Marley Franklin (Los Angeles) is 15-over par (159), holding 14
th in the player leaderboard.
 
Rookie 
Emily Mayne (Kingston, Jamaica) rounds out the top 25, tying for 24
th (168, +24).
 
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (TAMCC) leapfrogged to the top spot after shooting 25-over par (313) in round two. Collectively, TAMCC produced 45-over par (621) during the two-day span.
 
Individually, North Carolina A&T State's Tori Mouton stays atop the player leaderboard with a 1-over par (73) performance on Day Two.
 
Wednesday (May 8), HU plays the third and final round of the PGA Works Collegiate Championship.
